The Pen Argyl Area School District Learning to Learn Initiative provides students/families/guardians the opportunity to borrow a district-owned Chromebook for use during and after school hours.
The goal of this program is to provide access to learning opportunities for all students throughout their day. Our focus is learning first. We want our students to be able to collaborate, communicate and create by extending learning beyond the four walls of the classroom. We want every student to succeed to the best of their ability. Utilizing Learning to Learn environments effectively accomplishes this goal.
For the 2016-17 school year ALL students will be issued a Chromebook. Please read below then access the documentation for more detailed information that includes revisions from the 2014-15 fees and procedures.
Students have two options.
They may pay a technology fee and take the Chromebook home or they may keep the Chromebook in school and check it in and out each day.
Beginning with the class of 2017 Students who pay the yearly technology fee will be permitted to keep their Chromebook upon graduation from Pen Argyl High School, provided financial obligations have been fulfilled.
If the student qualified for free and reduced lunch during the previous school year, the technology fee will be waived
Chromebooks are used throughout the day for note taking, writing, research, collaboration, and online textbooks. They have become an integral tool for educating our students. We strongly encourage all students to bring their Chromebooks home as an extension of the school day.
